STRIKE! LIVE SHOW

STRIKE! is a luscious & innovative Electronic Opera, based on the classical play Lysistrata by

Aristophanes. Set in TLVillage, a partially imagined city, STRIKE! opens as Lizzy unites the women of her war-torn region by calling for a sex strike, which ignites a full blown battle of the sexes.

STRIKE! is a live, evening-length spectacle of music and visuals that incorporates a wide range

of genres in electronic music and incorporates sculpture, projection and light design.

While the rhythm and melody tell a heroic story of female power, the animation, video and mapping, light design and stage installations offer an outrageous and cohesive display.

STRIKE! embraces elements from various disciplines, such as night life, rock & pop, classical art (through a modern interpretation), urban energy, fashion and many more.

It is a full-bodied, sensorial experience performed by Rona Geffen and Ann Streichman, with Video & Mapping by Vj Kalma, video projection design by Danna Grace Windsor, sculpture by Yoav Admoni and Layla Klinger, and light design by Yochai Matos. This unique, feminist and unapologetic work delivers a strong message of peace and equality.

YOCHAI MATOS - LIGHT DESIGN
Lives and works in Tel Aviv. Graduated Bezalel in 2004. His work deals with the public space as a property, taking place in both fields; on the streets and inside the established Art world - searching the cross points between the two disciplines.

Matos uses in his works basic and simple images derived from the Modern Culture; images which already contain layers of replication and recycling. By dealing with pop and kitsch icons Matos wishes to touch once again the romantic, authentic and lost emotions, suggesting a simple and comforting way of confronting the contemporary disease of emotional disability.

Matos has exhibited solo shows and has attended in group shows in USA, Latin America, Europe and Japan.

Admoni's work investigates the border line between the physical space and the socio-political space existing in the Landscape, focusing on areas of conflict, trying to reveal the production of Nature in its various manifestations.
